The collection includes a book entitled: "An epistle (moral and philosophical) from an officer at Otaheite to Lady Gr*s**n*r : with notes, critical and historical". London, T. Evans, 1774. It contains the portraits of Sir Joseph Banks, Captain Cook and Omai. A letter of Sir Joseph Banks to William Aiton (?), dated 29 July 1792, is inserted in the volume. It introduces Veree and Hill to Aiton.
